Tempest Minerals Ltd (ASX: TEM) has released another strong set of gold results from its ongoing exploration at the Range Project in Mt Magnet, Western Australia. The latest RC drilling campaign continues to build confidence in the scale and continuity of mineralisation across this emerging gold system.
Highlights from the Latest Announcement
- Positive shallow gold intercepts, including:
- 3m @ 1.9g/t Au from 13m
- 2m @ 1.2g/t Au from 21m
- These results sit alongside previously reported intercepts such as 3m @ 3.2g/t Au from 58m (including 1m @ 5.9g/t).
About the Drilling Program
Tempest completed 1,500m of RC drilling across 19 holes during October, targeting multiple prospects within the 20km² Range Project. The region is part of the prolific Mt Magnet gold camp, host to multi-million-ounce gold systems and active mining operations.
The new drilling intersects mineralisation both from surface and at depth across several zones, predominantly hosted within silica-sericite-pyrite altered felsic porphyry intrusions—a style consistent with significant gold deposits in the Boogardie Basin.
Why These Results Matter
The Range Project continues to demonstrate strong potential for a large-scale gold system, supported by:
- Growing strike extent of mineralisation
- Multiple mineralised porphyritic intrusions
- Shallow intercepts near existing infrastructure
- Comparability to early-stage results from neighbouring operators in the district
These elements collectively position Tempest for meaningful discovery potential as exploration continues.
Next Steps
Tempest is now progressing:
- Expanded geological modelling
- Target refinement based on new data
- Integration of results from recent geochemical sampling
- Planning for follow-up drilling programs to test extensions and new targets
Mineralisation now confirmed over 1.5km strike length, with strong indications of a larger mineralised system beginning to emerge.
