Tempest Minerals (ASX:TEM) is ready to advance its Mt Magnet Range Project to the next phase, with plans to drill approximately 1,500 metres of reverse circulation (RC) testing for gold mineralisation at the Wrangler and Defender prospects in mid‑August.
Why Mt Magnet Matters:
The Wrangler target aligns with extensions from the historic Britannia Well gold mine. Previous rock-chip sampling here found 1 g/t Au in quartz-tourmaline veins, located 170 m along strike of the open pit.
Defender, positioned 500–1,000 m south of the open pit, will be tested for sericite-altered porphyry and favorable porphyry‑granite contacts—structures widely regarded as prospective in the Mt Magnet gold camp.
