Tempest Minerals (ASX:TEM) has identified a significant new iron exploration target at its 100%-owned Halo Prospect, located within the broader Yalgoo project in Western Australia. This early-stage discovery highlights the potential scale of the Yalgoo iron system, with the Halo target now shaping up to be potentially twice the size of the nearby Remorse deposit.
Recent fieldwork has uncovered an outcropping banded iron formation (BIF), supported by historic rock chip samples assaying up to 60% Fe. These high-grade samples sit within a larger regional geophysical anomaly, providing compelling geological support for further exploration. Planned geochemical sampling in the current quarter will help firm up targets ahead of potential drill testing in Q4 2025.
This update adds momentum to Tempest’s multi-commodity exploration pipeline, positioning the company as an active player among ASX-listed mineral exploration companies targeting both gold and iron in Western Australia.
