Tempest Minerals (ASX:TEM) has released its first-ever JORC-compliant Mineral Resource Estimate for the Remorse Magnetite Iron Deposit, located at its Yalgoo Project in Western Australia. This milestone marks Tempest’s transition from a pure explorer to an emerging project developer.
Key Highlights:
63.5 million tonnes @ 30.6% Fe (Inferred Resource, 28% Fe cut-off)
Resource defined from a small drill footprint—open in multiple directions
Low impurities and strong Davis Tube Recovery support quality and scale
Open-pittable geometry with favourable local infrastructure
Follow-up drilling and metallurgical programs planned in 2025
Figure 1 on page 5 shows the deposit outline and drill locations, while Figure 3 on page 7 presents the grade-tonnage curve, which demonstrates scalability at lower cut-offs (e.g. 106.1 Mt @ 28.2% Fe at 20% cut-off).
This initial resource, modelled using Leapfrog Geo and independently reviewed by Measured Group, demonstrates robust geological continuity. The data supports future green steel development pathways and is central to Tempest’s ESG-aligned growth strategy.
