Drilling Prep Underway at Mt Magnet as TEM Targets Gold at the Range Project

Tempest Minerals (ASX:TEM) is laying the groundwork for a major phase of exploration at its Range Project in Mt Magnet, Western Australia — a region renowned for its gold mining history and proximity to multiple million-ounce operations.

Following recent fieldwork and target generation, TEM has now commenced auger soil sampling ahead of a ~1,500 m RC drilling program designed to test multiple priority gold targets, including the high-potential Wrangler and Cherokee prospects. These developments position the company firmly among ASX-listed gold mining companies in Western Australia, as it sharpens its focus on scalable exploration opportunities with near-term upside.

New Sampling to Refine RC Drill Targets

The auger campaign is designed to enhance subsurface geochemistry and support the definition of final drill sites. Results from this program will be used to guide the upcoming RC drill campaign targeting the Wrangler, Defender, and Cherokee prospects — each of which lies within a proven geological corridor.

The Cherokee target in particular has yielded rock chip samples exceeding 1g/t gold, with host lithology consistent with that of nearby producing mines like Britannia Well. These results have prompted the expansion of the planned RC program to incorporate Cherokee, increasing the investment appeal of Tempest Minerals ASX exploration projects.

Why Mt Magnet Still Matters for Gold

Mt Magnet has long been one of WA’s most productive gold regions, and remains home to several ASX-listed gold miners and processing facilities within trucking distance. Tempest’s Range Project, held 100%, spans over 20km² and features historic workings, mapped mineralised outcrops, and clear near-mine potential — with early data suggesting both oxide and deeper sulphide targets may be present.

With gold remaining a top priority for investors and commodity markets alike, TEM’s drill-ready gold exploration projects offer timely exposure to a district where gold mining investment opportunities in Australia are increasingly competitive.

Keep Up with Tempest

This auger sampling milestone is the latest in a series of on-the-ground actions reinforcing TEM’s exploration-first approach across its WA gold and copper portfolio. Results from the upcoming drilling program are expected in the coming months, with field updates shared regularly.
