Tempest Minerals launches airborne EM survey for Yalgoo region tenements, WA

Mineral explorer Tempest Minerals (ASX:TEM) has begun a high-resolution airborne electromagnetic (EM) survey across the central portion of its Yalgoo region tenements in Western Australia.

The survey will cover the Meleya and War West project areas and is aimed to complement existing datasets by providing ultra-high-resolution geophysical data.

All previous work, including magnetic modelling and downhole EM surveys at the Orion target, will be integrated with the new survey dataset and used to calibrate and inform the survey modelling going forward.

Tempest has engaged airborne geophysical contractor NRG to complete the survey. NRG will perform the survey using a helicopter-mounted custom-built ultra-high-resolution electromagnetic loop ‘XCite’ system.

It is anticipated that the survey will be completed by the end of June 2023, with preliminary modelling and targets expected to be received by July 2023.

Further, the ongoing progression of exploration targets is continuing across the region, including multiple planned drilling programs.
